Valavanis Purpose The purpose of the workshop is to bring together a number of leading experts and researchers to present and discuss current and future directions in the area of modeling and control of complex systems. The workshop is right after the Joint 20 th IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control and 13 th IEEE Mediterranean conference which will be held in Cyprus from June 27-29 and before the IFAC congress in Prague. The workshop will give the opportunity to the participants of the Mediterranean Conference, in addition to others to participate in the workshop before taking off for Prague. Topics Transportation Systems, Computer and Communication Networks Sensor Networks, Distributed Control and Applications, Genomics Applications Aerospace Control, Chemical Processes, Modeling and Control of the Internet Network, Cooperative Control, System Complexity Issues, Fault Diagnosis in Complex Systems, Modeling and Control of Networked Embedded Systems, Manufacturing Systems, Biological Systems, Biomedical Systems, Nanotechnology, Robotics. Venue The venue of the workshop is a five star hotel by one of the most beautiful beaches in Cyprus and within walking distance from what it used to be fishing village of Ayia Napa. Today’s Ayia Napa is considered to be one of the best centers for entertainment in Mediterranean with numerous restaurants, tavernas, nightclubs.
